Fish are being caught again today, not quite as early as yesterday though.
The water is improving - over 36 inches of visibility and about 50ยบ temp.
A good day fishing - they Springers are starting to bite at last - probably the best day fishing so far this year! I saw 10 nice salmon on the dock and heard of a dozen plus more. Water visibility has come up to 28 inches and is getting better.
Water visibility is at 22 inches, a little on the dark side but there are some fish being caught - saw 4 today.
Lots of phone calls today asking about the water conditions: 38+ inches of visibility as of 1pm today = excellent.
Though I think we might get blown out toward the end of this coming week, right now it the water is in great shape. Monday, Tuesday should be good, Wednesday it might start getting brown...
The Columbia is closed now. I have seen 2 Willamette fish and heard of 3 more today.
The wind storm didn't show up here till noon, there were a few hardy fishermen out in the morning and I saw 5 salmon from the Columbia, heard of 4 more from the Willamette.
A good day fishing! I know of a dozen plus fish from the Columbia and 8 plus from the Willamette today.
I have already seen 2 fish this morning! Got a picture posted of them. The water still looks good today but it doesn't look like the sunshine from yesterday is going to come back.
A very nice day to fish! The water is in good shape, over 30 inches of visibility but still on the cold side - the sunshine was very welcome though! I saw 5 fish from the Columbia river and heard of a dozen more today. I also saw one from the Willamette river but didn't hear of a very good bite there or on the channel.
I have seen 2 salmon today! And I heard of 10 plus yesterday in the Willamette, though we only saw one come by the store. The water conditions are perfect, hoping the rain that is forecast doesn't darken it up much...
I have seen 3 nice salmon from the Columbia today, heard of 4 more. The Willamette seems to be a little slower today, but I have heard of 3 from there. One on the Channel...
The Spring Salmon are finally starting to show up and a few are being caught. I heard of 5 right at morning tide change (7am) this morning at the head of the channel. During the day I heard of 5 to 6 caught out on the Columbia between Willow and Davis bar.
We have 2 fish on the board now, both 16 pounders. Not a lot of fishing pressure yet, but we haven't seen the run kick into gear yet either. It should be soon! The water temp/color/level is perfect - we just need more fish
We have our First Fish at Fred's Marina! A nice 16 pounder caught on the Columbia at Davis bar, nice and bright. There have been a few fish caught on the Columbia, Willamette and Multnomah Channel, but this is the first one for a moorage customer! Let's get to fishing!
